I got this lovely view as my birthday card! Windrider wrote a quote by Winnie the Pooh here, “If you live to be 100 years old, I hope I live to be 100 years old minus 1 day, so I never have to live without you”.

Tibet

T for Tibet! I received this very beautiful postcard from Wespe showing part of Tibet region in China.

Oohh see the water.. the mountains.. the alps…. Is this heaven??? :) It’s the Ra’og Lake in the Nyingchi prefecture, which is the largest lake in southeastern Tibet. “Ra’og” is Tibetan for “where the corpses stacked” (HUH??). Well, it’s actually related to a Tibetan legend from long ago, there were two immortal bulls caught in fighting, then both came to death and shaped this lake! Hmm.. beautiful yet spooky!

See more T’s of ABC Wednesday fun here!

I have featured postcards of Toronto in Ontario before… but let us see some more views of this Canadian province which is the largest by population, and a few other cities in it.

This beautiful view belongs to the Kawartha Lakes region, and when the lakes are frozen during winter, they can ski across them, or sometimes, can even skate for many kilometers on the glass-smooth ice! It sounds so magical I would really love to see it myself!!
