Pozdrowienia znad morza – Greetings from the sea

It’s time for another set of Poland postcards… or more precisely, Poland postcards by Ula :) Now I chose two postcards saying “Pozdrowienia znad morza”.. and Ula didn’t really translate it for me, so I thought Morza was some city or town in Poland, but Google translator saved me from making a silly assumption, since it actually says Greetings from the sea.. whichever sea it is.

Ula’s hometown, Gdansk is a city at the Baltic sea, where perhaps you can see a beach like this one :)

Yes, this beautiful postcard came to me with the bent mark :( Ula bought this card in Ustha, a little touristic city on the Baltic sea. I love the figure of significant lighthouses in some Polish port cities.

Sri Lanka

With no forum users from Sri Lanka, a postcard from this country is definitely among the exotic ones in my official list.

LK-59 from Isuru. I was jumping when I got this card. Because I hardly received an official card from Asian countries, and this was the first from this continent where I live as well. Later I received another from Thailand. Yes only two. But I guess these years Asian users are growing rapidly and hopefully we’ll be as lot as Europeans :P What?? We can’t beat Finland?? Come on! China and India alone make more than 2 billion people, no?

Yay and Isuru sent me another card later for a swap. This is much better as I can see Sri Lankan culture and people, and this festival is called Perahara. This one is Kandy Perahara (the place’s name is Kandy). It’s a Buddhist festival consists of traditional dances and richly-decorated handsome elephants :)
