Fullmetal Alchemist!

I received this sticker-postcard from Tomorrowboy in Korea on Tag Within Asia. It’s quite a long time ago I don’t think he’s on the forum anymore. This postcard is pretty funny because it’s actually a sticker and it was a luck that it didn’t tear apart on the way coming to me.

Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the most brilliant Japanese anime ever exist. If you must know what I was doing on the internet before Postcrossing time, it was nothing but downloading manga scanlation and read them hard! :P And it was sad that I have kind of stopped my obsession on Japanese manga and anime since the .. I can’t remember since when, maybe since I got busy with uni workloads, or boyfriend, or Postcrossing, whichever came first. Anyways. I got FMA DVD but still haven’t finished watching, in fact I love reading manga than watching the anime, hmm. Now the question is, I can’t remember where I have kept the DVD. Gotta dig out the old treasure one day. OK back to the postcards, hm that’s what I meant to write about actually here, sigh. So I have received more FMA postcards from Little Flower in Japan. She’s so sweet and in fact both of these cards came as a surprise :)

This is FMA card for my 24th birthday (2006)

And this is simply a RAS card from last year :):) See I am smiling! Thanks Rie! *hugs*

Taj Mahal

I remember in earlier time I was desperately wishing to get a card from India and it was real hard to find one since nobody in the forum was from India (before Seetas came in). So I regularly sent private messages to some users on the main site hoping for a private swap. Though most of the messages were left unreplied, and even though a few agreed to swap, none of them really sent me a postcard! :(

But finally…. finally…. I received my first card from India, and it couldn’t be more perfect than something showing the Taj Mahal! I was happy like crazy when I received this from Sidharta, aahh it’s so lovely with sunset and all, and this is Taj Mahal, I repeat, Taj Mahal :) :)

From an old penpal Manu. Taj Mahal is a mausoleum in Agra, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It was built from year 1631 and completed 17 years later. This is truly the finest architecture in the world which should be my first reason to visit India.

And as if it’s a key for me to start receiving more India postcards afterwards! Shortly later I received two others from Seetas in the forum, including this Bollywood movie card :) I am not a fan of Abhishek though.

Needless to say, all this time Seetas has been sending me alot of great India postcards.. I am so lucky! :) MUJHE INDIA POSTCARDS PYAAR HAI! I’ll surely go and visit India one day :D

PT-9138 with a smile

I was really happy to receive this postcard which was sent from Rita in Portugal. This is a special view to me, which I don’t know how to describe why. Maybe it’s a deja vu that I used to dream someplace looking like this haha, or I’ve always wanted to see myself living in a home place like this. Neat buildings side by side with quiet narrow path in between. I don’t know if I can find them near here, but I have seen pictures of areas like this exist in Germany, Spain and Korea (in drama series leh :p). They are to me really calming and lovely.
