I love Monna. Because she knows that I like house cards. She already sent me houses cards in Finland. And she even sent me this countryhouses from Sweden when she went there for vacation!

And another Swedish house with real unique architecture that I would love to see my house looking like this. Hahaha. Thanks for this great RAS, Monna! *hugs*

Bali

Bali to me is an island resort with relaxing spas and luxury chalets. Now I sound as if I’ve been there. Ironically, I haven’t.

So I can only happily sigh looking at this beautiful beach which fellow Malaysian Postcrosser Chat noir sent me, hoping that I can still hear the fresh air breeze and smell the beach of Bali from the card.

Ohh, Chat noir seems to have gone to Bali many many times already!! This was sent right from there with Indonesian stamp. Colorful culture they have there. These Balinese women are carrying offerings to the temple on a festive day. Balinese are mainly practising Hinduism, unlike the rest of Indonesia which is Muslim majority. In fact, Hindu was the belief of people in Indonesian islands and Malay peninsula during the 11st century before Islam came to the region in the 15th century.

This Bali card shows Mount Agong, the highest volcano in Bali island. Glo sent me this postcard and she even puts mountain-shaped stamps to match this card. Very interesting. But I don’t get to scan stamps otherwise I’ll be busier in double. And crazier in double. Heh.

Dutch Windmills

The Netherlands to be associated with 5 things: Windmills, wooden shoes, DutchLady, Tulips, hop skirts – if they’re talking about traditional dress. Let’s begin with the windmills. I still don’t fully understand on how the windmills are technically functioning, but nevermind, as long as they look pretty on postcards :D

From Sabje. It may look like a plain huge field but notice the windmills making the area looking so beautiful.

From Patjee. A windmill in Deurne.

From Bontkwagga. A gothic windmill this is.

NL-4545 from Hesham. Windmills and tulips, great combination!

From Jetske. Beautiful tulips some more. Hang on, doesn’t this look like similar to above? Yes it is similar, but not same :P Anyways. When I look closer to these two postcards, I have got a feeling that those windmills aren’t actually there in the Tulips field. Yes, if you can read my mind, I think they’re Photoshopped! lol. Nevermind, Photoshops can be great too :P
