Here’s my first entry of United Arab Emirates, I don’t know why but I only received multiview postcards from there. But I shouldn’t complain much as you don’t receive a postcard from Dubai everyday, and actually, I guess they just like to show as many buildings of this city in a postcard, hence many small different pictures.
From Ais. The sail-shaped building at the center is the famous luxury 7 star hotel Burj al-Arab, which used to be the world’s tallest hotel during past few years. The building with slope is the Emirates Mall, also among the world’s largest shopping mall, and some more, it has a huge indoor ski resort.. yes.. even in a desert country like UAE one can play with snow nowadays! And the pictures below are of the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and some shopping bazaar.
From Engkuzai. Now that I got this card early this year, it has to feature this OMG-can’t-it-get-any-taller structure… namely Burj Tower Dubai. It’s currently the world’s tallest man-made structure ever built, with 818 m height. Its construction began in 2004 and is expected to be ready for occupancy by end of this year. Well, it does seem this city loves to have supertall modern buildings!!
