Hello! I have made a few postcards posts featuring Haris previously, but now I decided to introduce properly this little friend of mine to all my Friday Postcards friends! :)

This is Haris. A cool kitty, can be naughty at times and likes to eat alot! No wonder he looks as if he gained weight after one month traveling to Paris last February! Well, he started his journey on behalf of imajica (who wishes so hard that she could fit an envelope to travel Europe too -___- ) and has been to Paris, Rome, Budapest recently and now is staying with Essi in Lappeenranta, Finland! He will soon probably be visiting Poland and Macedonia!

Please see Hari’s travelog on ToyVoyagers for his journey diary and loads of photos! And here’s the map showing his path (before Finland)

And what does this kitty toy have to do with Postcards, you ask? :) Now let’s take a look back at my previous postcards of Paris (and Eiffel Tower!), Budapest, Rome, and Finland all featuring Haris!! :D It’s really good to know (at least) I have some postcards with places he went to!

Happy PFF from Haris and imajica to everyone!! xx

AAAAAGH! Haris is hijacking my postcards blog again!! *mad* But hmmph, since I received a neat Rome postcard from Valerie, I’ll forgive him. And having said that, I guess I’ll just feature all Rome cards I have gotten so far as well…

From Octabis. Yes, Valerie is so sweet that she sent everyone of GTKY gang a card from Rome! This is a magnificent view of Ponte Sant’Angelo (Bridge of Hadrian) that was constructed during 134-139, and at the back is St Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City which was built in 1506. Pilgrims used to use this bridge to reach the basilica.

IT-18537 from Claudia. This is the Fontana del Moro (Fountain of Moro) which is one of the three fountains in the Piazza Navona (Navona Sqaure). It was designed by Giacomo della Porto and built in 1575. This piazza used to be the place where the Romans came to watch games and competitions, and its fountains have been featured in several film scenes.

From Mauclella. This right hand belongs to Costantine, the Emperor of the Roman Empire around year 300. See also his face and foot here.

From Muffins. The famous Colosseum!! This Roman Empire’s largest open-air theater was built in 70-80 AD where 68,000 people could sit inside and 5000 people standing. The Colosseum was used for gladiatorial games and battles, and approximately 500,000 people and over a million wild animals died in the Colosseum games!

From Iside82 with different views of the great Rome. Apart of the Colosseum and the St Peter’s cathedral, seen also here are The White Alton of the Nation (built in 1800) and the Tiberian Isle in the middle of Tevere River.

Not so long after I made the first entry on Venice last time, I received two other Venice cards!! I am such a Venice postcards-prone, but that’s good coz this place is one of the most beautiful on earth! I was meaning to feature some Rome cards for my second Italy entry, but I don’t know if this makes sense to tell you or not, but a number of my postcards, including Rome postcards, are missing now!! It’s my mum, for sure.. I had like a bunch of postcards sitting in front of the monitor waiting to be blogged here, and my room was a total mess, and what happened? I was off the PC for a while.. and came back… they were no longer there!! I HAVE TO clean my room again, yes I know, but this punishment is unbearable!! I NEED my postcards back! Help!! I really have got a mum who’s anti-Postcrossing!! :( Well, Venice cards first, while I am figuring out to get my postcards back!!

From Edo. Venice view of the Piazza San Marco square with Basilica di San Marco church and St Mark’s Campanile, a 98m bell tower which was constructed as early as 15th century.

From Edo. Typical view of one of Venice canals… and a nice boat ride through it. With many cards I received from Venice, it’s well appropriate if I go and see this beautiful city one day… :)

I was checking the postcards from the last batch found. I said found because oh, I don’t know why this happened to me again. I was abroad for 1.5 months and when I came home, all I had to do was to SEARCH my own postcards which had arrived during my absence. Because nobody at home cared about my postcards so they were anywhere they could be placed.OK back to this bunch of cards I noticed a neat Venice card but I can’t scan it now because the scanner is still unexistent. But I went to dig out my box (and tell you what, I started grouping my postcards according to country so it’s easier for me to find a postcard again – lol my postcards are well more organized than my bedroom!). Anyways. Venice postcards, so I was counting, and I have actually received 7 Venice all this while hahaha :) Let’s see the views of this breathtakingly beautiful city..

Venice 1 from Lilo. The real Venice, as it pictures here: lots of water, bridges and and people walking. The farthest bridge is called the Bridge of Sighs, because it connects the Doge’s palace to the prisons, so the prisoners used to take their final view of Venice, and sigh when crossing it. Hmm, scary.

Venice 2 from Lilo again. This is the marvellous Piazza San Marco, a famous square with its church Basilica di San Marco.

Venice 3 from Lilo again. A real romantic view with traditional Venerial boat – it’s called Gondola. The small rivers in Venice are called Rio, and the narrow streets are Calle, and the squares are Campo.

Venice 4 from Lilo again. Okay I must admit I was in a mission of seeking Venice postcards back then and luckily had Lilo as my postcard pal. This is another breathtaking view from the Piazza San Marco showing the church Santa Maria della Salute.

Venice 5. Oh how I wish I was in that boat :) This card was sent from old postcard pal Drs_dolittle from Belgium, she bought the card during her vacation to Venice, which according to her it looked like you ended up in a fairytale. Wonderful.

Sigh, I really want to see myself in Venice! Hmm.. *dreaming away*
