Deutschland – Germany

Schönes Deutschland…. Beautiful Germany.. I’m now featuring a couple of cards that gives you a quick overview of some German main cities… well let’s see one by one.

From Arrakes. I have featured my Berlin cards before.. I also have postcards from Munich, Frankfurt, Koln… which have yet to be seen in this blog. Oh that Neuschwanstein Castle as well! ;) And of course the German ladies with costume.. yay.. will be featuring them from time to time.

From Meeerisusi. This postcard was a must have during the FIFA World Cup fever back in 2006!! I am glad I own one.. even though I wasn’t actually following the games hahaha. These are the stadiums where the World Cup game took place. And the one in Munich looks rather like a rubber tyre! Awesome, isn’t it?

Animal kingdom together with people

I tagged several times in Animal Kingdom Together with People tag in the forum and it’s always nice to find out which animal they paired with a human on a postcard :) You typical guess must be a cat, or a dog,.. well but what if I say I have received an awesome postcard from Germany showing a pair of human and ELEPHANT??

From Starrysky. YAY :D I’m wondering what lesson the big guy is taking from the man.. and is he trying to look at the notes as well?? I didn’t know an elephant can actually read! :D This postcard comes with a title “Elefant Auf Der Bank” (Elephant in the Bank).

From Nordbaer. This pretty vintage photo reprint from late 1800s of a well-dressed young man with his loyal friend.

Lass uns Deutsch lernen

Ich habe einige Postkarten aus Deutschland mit den deutschen text auf sie.. auch wenn ich nicht Deutsch lernen, aber ich finde es interessan.. OKAY who am I kidding now? :P The earlier sentences are obviously gotten from online translator hehe.. I am not learning German but I quite love how it sounds… at least in Marius Müller’s songs :) And I suppose this is a linguistic entry for my Germany postcards. Let’s learn German! :D
