Street scene in China

China.. easily associated with people.. and one can be amazed by the number of them :) And these are postcards from China.. where you can see people are always filling the street.

From Ying, with a view at the intersection of Nanjing Road and Xizang Road in Shanghai.

From Wespe. This is Guangzhou Business downtown during the National Day holiday… remarked by the sights of China flags along the street.

Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China were built since the 5th century BC spanning 6400km from East to West China. My basic knowledge about the Great Wall was like how I know about the Pyramids, Taj Mahal, the Collosseum, the Stonehenge. When I was little and started learning about the world I used to hear all the time about the seven wonders of the world, though I don’t remember if I knew all the sevens. It was so intriguing for me to find out all of those but before the existence of Internet things were not as easy to be found out as they are today. Later I have come to know the wonders were somehow categorized further to Seven Wonders of Ancient World, Seven Wonders of Medeival World, etc.. (hmm making it not seven anymore then?) but nevermind and let’s get back to current time. Now I am a Postcrosser and I even have got some pieces of this wonder of the world right inside my box! :)

This panoramic card of The Great Wall came from Wespe, and he put some neat Malaysia-China joint-issue stamps.

From Tsar. OK so this one is wider areal view, you can get the idea of how they were building huge wall all the way on hilly peaks. Millions of workers were involved in completing this bigass project. And remember there were no those high technology tools and machinery and tractors in the 5th century BC!
