Say HELLO to your furry friend from down under!! :) I don’t understand it either, but if you must know, the first Koala cards was actually the very FIRST postcard I received from Australia… therefore Postcrossing-wise, Koala has been the icon for Australia to me ever since…

From Glenasena. First, Koala isn’t a Malaysian domestic animal.. so to me they look quite foreign. 20 years ago one of my cousins came back from studying in Australia and she had this a Koala soft toy…. it was the first image of Koala I have seen, but my first impression was, Koala looked SCARY! That soft toy… I don’t know, has become somewhat a nightmare to me…. if I had to go somewhere in the dark.. I was praying hard that I wouldn’t encounter something looking like a Koala!

From Misterteapot! A RAS card for RAS 1st Anniversary! :P (and I remember Mr.Teapot first introduced his RAS thread using those Koalas cards and stamps too!).. hahaha and well I am no longer scared of Koalas.. well they can be cute too… if you look pretty well.. :P

From Glenasena. I was excited when I received this card… probably because it was a cartoon form of Koala. I didn’t notice Koalas had big ears until I saw this particular Koala with polka dot orange pants!

I am tired coz of this lousy job I’m not supposed to do. Sigh, don’t want to talk about it. After 2 months I’ll be free again :) I just need some money for the time being and I have to be patient.

In the meantime I want to put some more cards in this blog. I rarely have mails these days, that’s a disaster. I just dragged myself into the tags and sending officials in past couple of weeks after the so long downtime of sending cards. With a hope that some mails are on their way to me soon as well. Yay. Okay since I haven’t put any from Australia yet, here are Australia postcards which have a significant stamp right on the picture side.

AU-8201 sent by Margaret. This is Melbourne city skyline from Southbank. Southbank was formerly an industrial area and was transformed into a densely populated suburb of high rise apartment and office buildings beginning in the early 1990s. On the stamp is Melbourne Bolte Bridge.

This is Sydney Centrepoint Tower. It’s one of the structures that you won’t see the light during the day but it comes into its own with the lights in the dark. On the stamp is St James church in Sydney.

This one is similar like above two – comes with prepaid postage and a stamp on the picture side. Only this one is rather interesting as the stamp seems to have been put on the card and got postmarked, rather than in previous two cards the stamps were actually printed on the cards. I can tell this card is trying to promote recycling. Haha. Brilliant. I got trash on mail. Even better, this is for Taking out the trash tag! LOL
