First. I started Postcrossing since October 2005, and that was the beginning of my postcards obsession. Within this good years I have been blessed with a lot of beautiful postcards from all over the planet. There’s nothing happier than to receive endless mails with lovely pictures of some place far far away, with friendly messages! And they’re not even your friends!
Second. It’s just a crime to keep my postcards stay in the box just like that. So I initially scanned them and uploaded the pictures into my Flickr account. However, I only afforded a free account back then when I was a poor uni student. Okay, free Flickr limits only of 200 of your cards to show up in the gallery, and my collection was growing rapidly!

What to do? I made an alternative website in Geocities where I was linking my postcards pictures to the site (it’s closed now, maybe some of you had a look there once or twice). It was basically a postcard gallery like Flickr as well, only on the main page everytime I updated, I got to write a note and news, display “featured cards”, even had a chart for my Top 5 postcards senders :D Oh, the Postcrossing map as well. It was a hell lot of work, but as a Postcrossing addict it’s definitely worth the time I spent :) Hey, you still can access its Geocities guestbook anyways.. how lovely to realize I used to have many fans of my website back then :)) *hugs to all!!*
Third. Time passed, with university final years killing me I didn’t have much time to update the site anymore. And recently when I had a job and got my 2nd salary (yay) I upgraded my Flickr to Pro account so it saves my day as I can simply (over)load thousands of my postcard pictures into it! No more hassle! Yeah!
Fourth. Inspired by other Postcrossers’ postcards blogs, I was thinking to write something about the postcards I received too. Well, just to share with you people, or hmm maybe it’s just my excuse to kill the free time nowadays (yay, I am jobless again! sigh) From now on hopefully I can blog about my received cards (and will be having time for it). And from time to time I may choose a postcard randomly from my earlier collection in that huge box (or rather, from Flickr) to blog here just as well.
Thanks for visiting! :)
Love, imajica.

May 29th, 2009Hi Dorinco!
Thanks for stopping by! My blog is on WordPress.com, which I really love its features, WordPress.org is a hosted blogging program which I have yet to learn about :P On the other hand, I love Blogger as well coz I can play with different customized layout!! Plus everyone seems to use Blogger and it’s easy to track people by its Follow feature (like that I wouldn’t be left out!) but still I am happy with my current WordPress blog :)
