T for Tibet! I received this very beautiful postcard from Wespe showing part of Tibet region in China.
Oohh see the water.. the mountains.. the alps…. Is this heaven??? :) It’s the Ra’og Lake in the Nyingchi prefecture, which is the largest lake in southeastern Tibet. “Ra’og” is Tibetan for “where the corpses stacked” (HUH??). Well, it’s actually related to a Tibetan legend from long ago, there were two immortal bulls caught in fighting, then both came to death and shaped this lake! Hmm.. beautiful yet spooky!
See more T’s of ABC Wednesday fun here!

Jun 3rd, 2009Hard not to think about terrible things when thinking about Tibet, but yours is a terrific counterpoint.

Jun 3rd, 2009I thought Tibet was a separate country. I’m quite sad to read that it is administered by China. :(
Lovely photo, though.
