Persepolis

Persepolis in Iran was the ceremonial capital of Persian Empire dated from  515 BC. The now 2500 year old historical remainings of Persepolis are located about 900km to the south of Tehran… very far indeed, otherwise we would have visited this place during our vacation to Tehran and Esfahan 10 years ago. Oh it’s been 10 years now that I realized it… It was truly love at first sight, given that Iran was technically the first foreign land I have ever stepped my feet in, so the first amazeness to see foreign people and and the landscape, and the first cool air I had in there will always be… very special.

From Parisa. These structures are called Takhte Jamshid (The Throne of Jamshid) in Tachar Palace, and Jamshid is a mythical king of Iran.
